Have you been inspired by Google's experience with Radical Candor? I certainly have! For years, I struggled to balance my cultural background and giving feedback, let alone receiving it. In my culture, gestures and a passionate tone of voice are considered perfectly regular expressions of enthusiasm and willingness to help. However, those same gestures and tones can sometimes be misinterpreted as intimidating or aggressive.
Cross-cultural differences in communication styles can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, but over the years, I have learned a few steps that can be helpful for you, just as they have been for me.
As a product manager, success is often defined by the success of the product you are responsible for. However, achieving that success requires creating a culture of openness, honesty, and trust within your team. And that's where Radical Candor comes in!
I see Radical Candor as a philosophy emphasizing the importance of offering direct and honest feedback to team members while showing empathy and caring about their feelings and personal growth. By embracing this philosophy, product managers can create an environment where everyone feels comfortable giving and receiving feedback, leading to better ideas, improved execution, and, ultimately, a successful product.

Offer feedback as soon as possible after the fact has occurred, and ensure it is delivered privately to avoid embarrassment or shame.
